Kyle & Kimberly Lewandowski
Floyd’s isn’t just another burger spot — it’s a family dream, years in the making. This mother-son duo has called Middle Tennessee home for over 25 years, and now they’re bringing something special to Smyrna.
Kyle has spent over 18 years in the restaurant industry, working his way up through kitchens and dining rooms, fueled by a work ethic that never quits and a real passion for people. He’s the kind of guy who remembers your usual and checks in just to see how your week’s going.
Kimberly comes from a career in software operations and leadership, but her heart led her back to what matters most — family, community, and connection. She’s that warm, familiar presence who somehow makes everyone feel instantly at home.
Together, they’ve poured their hearts into Floyd’s — named after a beloved family nickname that stands for comfort, legacy, and good times shared. With a TON of help from family AND friends, we hope to get Floyd's launched mid September 2025.

The Story Behind Floyd's
Floyd’s isn’t just a name — it’s a legacy.
The name comes from a cherished family nickname passed down through generations. The youngest of four siblings was affectionately called “Floyd” — a playful nickname that stuck over the years and came to represent the heart of the family.
Years ago, “Floyd” and his brother built a humble cottage by the lake. It quickly became the backdrop for countless memories. To honor his younger brother, “Sam” crafted a custom sign that read Floyd’s in a bold, distinctive font and proudly displayed it on the wall of the cottage. That name — and the feeling behind it — stuck. The same font now lives on in our logo, tying the past to the present.
The cottage still stands today as a cozy Airbnb in Cadiz, KY, with Floyd’s still welcoming guests — just as it did for decades.
At Floyd’s Burger Joint, we’re proud to carry on that legacy. We’ve built a place where everyone is welcome, where meals are made with love, and where every bite reminds you of simpler times and good company.
